The authors of ref. Phys.Rev. D94 (2016) no.1, 014502 reported about a careful analysis of the impact of lattice artifacts on the $SU(3)$ gauge-field propagators. In particular, they found that the low-momentum behavior of the renormalized propagators depends on the lattice bare coupling and interpreted this fact as the result of it being affected by finite lattice spacing artifacts. We do not share this interpretation and present here a different and more suitable explanation for these results.

We study the infrared behavior of the effective Coulomb potential in lattice SU(3) Yang-Mills theory in the Coulomb gauge. We use lattices up to a size of 48^4 and three values of the inverse coupling, beta=5.8, 6.0 and 6.2. While finite-volume effec ts are hardly visible in the effective Coulomb potential, scaling violations and a strong dependence on the choice of Gribov copy are observed. We obtain bounds for the Coulomb string tension that are in agreement with Zwanzigers inequality relating the Coulomb string tension to the Wilson string tension.
We study the Landau gauge gluon and ghost propagators of SU(3) gauge theory, employing the logarithmic definition for the lattice gluon fields and implementing the corresponding form of the Faddeev-Popov matrix. This is necessary in order to consiste ntly compare lattice data for the bare propagators with that of higher-loop numerical stochastic perturbation theory (NSPT). In this paper we provide such a comparison, and introduce what is needed for an efficient lattice study. When comparing our data for the logarithmic definition to that of the standard lattice Landau gauge we clearly see the propagators to be multiplicatively related. The data of the associated ghost-gluon coupling matches up almost completely. For the explored lattice spacings and sizes discretization artifacts, finite-size and Gribov-copy effects are small. At weak coupling and large momentum, the bare propagators and the ghost-gluon coupling are seen to be approached by those of higher-order NSPT.

We study the ultraviolet behaviour of the ghost and gluon propagators in quenched QCD using lattice simulations. Extrapolation of the lattice data towards the continuum allows to use perturbation theory to extract $Lambda_{text{QCD}}$ - the fundament al parameter of the pure gauge theory. The values obtained from the ghost and gluon propagators are coherent. The result for pure gauge SU(3) at three loops is $Lambda_{ms}approx 320text{MeV}$. However this value does depend strongly upon the order of perturbation theory and upon the renormalisation description of the continuum propagators. Moreover, this value has been obtained without taking into account possible power corrections to the short-distance behaviour of correlation functions.

We present recent results of the Landau gauge gluon and ghost propagators in SU(3) pure gauge theory at Wilson beta=5.7 for lattice sizes up to 80^4 corresponding to physical volumes up to (13.2 fm)^4. In particular, we focus on finite-volume and Gri bov copy effects. We employ a gauge fixing method that combines a simulated annealing algorithm with finalizing overrelaxation. We find the gluon propagator for the largest volumes and at q^2 ~ 0.01 GeV^2 to become flat. Although not excluded by our data, there is still no clear indication of a gluon propagator tending towards zero in the zero-momentum limit. New data for the ghost propagator are reported, too.
We study the pressure anisotropy in anisotropic finite-size systems in SU(3) Yang-Mills theory at nonzero temperature. Lattice simulations are performed on lattices with anisotropic spatial volumes with periodic boundary conditions. The energy-moment um tensor defined through the gradient flow is used for the analysis of the stress tensor on the lattice. We find that a clear finite-size effect in the pressure anisotropy is observed only at a significantly shorter spatial extent compared with the free scalar theory, even when accounting for a rather large mass in the latter.
