We present results for the decay constants of the $D$ and $D_s$ mesons computed in lattice QCD with $N_f=2+1$ dynamical flavours. The simulations are based on RBC/UKQCDs domain wall ensembles with both physical and unphysical light-quark masses and lattice spacings in the range 0.11--0.07$,$fm. We employ the domain wall discretisation for all valence quarks. The results in the continuum limit are $f_D=208.7(2.8)_mathrm{stat}left(^{+2.1}_{-1.8}right)_mathrm{sys},mathrm{MeV}$ and $f_{D_{s}}=246.4(1.3)_mathrm{stat}left(^{+1.3}_{-1.9}right)_mathrm{sys},mathrm{MeV}$ and $f_{D_s}/f_D=1.1667(77)_mathrm{stat}left(^{+57}_{-43}right)_mathrm{sys}$. Using these results in a Standard Model analysis we compute the predictions $|V_{cd}|=0.2185(50)_mathrm{exp}left(^{+35}_{-37}right)_mathrm{lat}$ and $|V_{cs}|=1.011(16)_mathrm{exp}left(^{+4}_{-9}right)_mathrm{lat}$ for the CKM matrix elements.

We present physical results obtained from simulations using 2+1 flavors of domain wall quarks and the Iwasaki gauge action at two values of the lattice spacing $a$, ($a^{-1}$=,1.73,(3),GeV and $a^{-1}$=,2.28,(3),GeV). On the coarser lattice, with $24 ^3times 64times 16$ points, the analysis of ref.[1] is extended to approximately twice the number of configurations. The ensembles on the finer $32^3times 64times 16$ lattice are new. We explain how we use lattice data obtained at several values of the lattice spacing and for a range of quark masses in combined continuum-chiral fits in order to obtain results in the continuum limit and at physical quark masses. We implement this procedure at two lattice spacings, with unitary pion masses in the approximate range 290--420,MeV (225--420,MeV for partially quenched pions). We use the masses of the $pi$ and $K$ mesons and the $Omega$ baryon to determine the physical quark masses and the values of the lattice spacing. While our data are consistent with the predictions of NLO SU(2) chiral perturbation theory, they are also consistent with a simple analytic ansatz leading to an inherent uncertainty in how best to perform the chiral extrapolation that we are reluctant to reduce with model-dependent assumptions about higher order corrections. Our main results include $f_pi=124(2)_{rm stat}(5)_{rm syst}$,MeV, $f_K/f_pi=1.204(7)(25)$ where $f_K$ is the kaon decay constant, $m_s^{bar{textrm{MS}}}(2,textrm{GeV})=(96.2pm 2.7)$,MeV and $m_{ud}^{bar{textrm{MS}}}(2,textrm{GeV})=(3.59pm 0.21)$,MeV, ($m_s/m_{ud}=26.8pm 1.4$) where $m_s$ and $m_{ud}$ are the mass of the strange-quark and the average of the up and down quark masses respectively, $[Sigma^{msbar}(2 {rm GeV})]^{1/3} = 256(6); {rm MeV}$, where $Sigma$ is the chiral condensate, the Sommer scale $r_0=0.487(9)$,fm and $r_1=0.333(9)$,fm.
We perform a high statistics study of the $J^{P}=0^{+}$ and $1^{+}$ charmed-strange mesons, $D_{s0}^*(2317)$ and $D_{s1}(2460)$, respectively. The effects of the nearby $DK$ and $D^{*}K$ thresholds are taken into account by employing the correspondin g four quark operators. Six ensembles with $N_f=2$ non-perturbatively ${cal O}(a)$ improved clover Wilson sea quarks at $a=0.07$ fm are employed, covering different spatial volumes and pion masses: linear lattice extents $L/a=24,32,40,64$, equivalent to 1.7 fm to 4.5 fm, are realised for $m_{pi}=290$ MeV and $L/a=48,64$ or 3.4 fm and 4.5 fm for an almost physical pion mass of $150$ MeV. Through a phase shift analysis and the effective range approximation we determine the scattering lengths, couplings to the thresholds and the infinite volume masses. Differences relative to the experimental values are observed for these masses, however, this is likely to be due to discretisation effects as spin-averaged quantities and splittings are reasonably compatible with experiment. We also compute the weak decay constants of the scalar and axialvector and find $f_V^{0^+}=114(2)(0)(+5)(10)$ MeV and $f_A^{1^+}=194(3)(4)(+5)(10)$ MeV, where the errors are due to statistics, renormalisation, finite volume and lattice spacing effects.
We review recent progress in the calculation of the decay constants $f_{D}$ and $f_{D_s}$ from lattice QCD. We focus particularly on simulations with $N_f=2+1$ and $N_f=2+1+1$ and simulations with close to physical light quark masses.
We present a lattice calculation of the neutron and proton electric dipole moments (EDMs) with $N_f=2+1$ flavors of domain-wall fermions. The neutron and proton EDM form factors are extracted from three-point functions at the next-to-leading order in the $theta$ vacuum of QCD. In this computation, we use pion masses 0.33 and 0.42 GeV and 2.7 fm$^3$ lattices with Iwasaki gauge action and a 0.17 GeV pion and 4.6 fm$^3$ lattice with I-DSDR gauge action, all generated by the RBC and UKQCD collaborations. The all-mode-averaging technique enables an efficient and high statistics calculation. Chiral behavior of lattice EDMs is discussed in the context of baryon chiral perturbation theory. In addition, we also show numerical evidence on relationship of three- and two-point correlation function with local topological distribution.
We calculate the B-meson decay constants f_B, f_Bs, and their ratio in unquenched lattice QCD using domain-wall light quarks and relativistic b-quarks. We use gauge-field ensembles generated by the RBC and UKQCD collaborations using the domain-wall f ermion action and Iwasaki gauge action with three flavors of light dynamical quarks. We analyze data at two lattice spacings of a ~ 0.11, 0.086 fm with unitary pion masses as light as M_pi ~ 290 MeV; this enables us to control the extrapolation to the physical light-quark masses and continuum. For the b-quarks we use the anisotropic clover action with the relativistic heavy-quark interpretation, such that discretization errors from the heavy-quark action are of the same size as from the light-quark sector. We renormalize the lattice heavy-light axial-vector current using a mostly nonperturbative method in which we compute the bulk of the matching factor nonperturbatively, with a small correction, that is close to unity, in lattice perturbation theory. We also improve the lattice heavy-light current through O(alpha_s a). We extrapolate our results to the physical light-quark masses and continuum using SU(2) heavy-meson chiral perturbation theory, and provide a complete systematic error budget. We obtain f_B0 = 199.5(12.6) MeV, f_B+ = 195.6(14.9) MeV, f_Bs = 235.4(12.2) MeV, f_Bs/f_B0 = 1.197(50), and f_Bs/f_B+ = 1.223(71), where the errors are statistical and total systematic added in quadrature. These results are in good agreement with other published results and provide an important independent cross check of other three-flavor determinations of $B$-meson decay constants using staggered light quarks.
