A not satisfactorily solved problem of relativistic transformation of temperature playing the decisive role in relativistic thermal physics and cosmology is reopened. It is shown that the origin of the so called Mosengeil-Otts antinomy and other aligned paradoxes are related to the wrong understanding of physical meaning of temperature and application of Plancks Ansatz of Lorentzs invariance of entropy. In the contribution we have thus reintroduced and anew analyzed fundamental concepts of hotness manifold, fixed thermometric points and temperature. Finally, on the basis of phenomenological arguments the Lorentz invariance of temperature and relativistic transformations of entropy are established.

This contribution adds to the points on the <indeterminacy of special relativity> made by De Abreu and Guerra. We show that the Lorentz Transformation can be composed by the physical observations made in a frame K of events in a frame K-prime viz i) objects in K-prime are moving at a speed v relative to K, ii) distances and time intervals measured by K-prime are at variance with those measured by K and iii) the concept of simultaneity is different in K-prime compared to K. The order in which the composition is executed determines the nature of the middle aspect (ii). This essential uncertainty of the theory can be resolved only by a universal synchronicity as discussed in [1] based on the unique frame in which the one way speed of light is constant in all directions.
We use coordinate transformation theory to realize substrates that can modify the emission of an embedded source. Simulation results show that with proper transformation functions the energy radiated by a source embedded in these space variant media will be concentrated in a narrow beam. The thickness of the slab achieved with our transformations will no longer be restricted by the evanescent modes and the source can be placed at any position along the boundary of the substrate without affecting the radiation pattern. We also discuss the case where reduced parameters are used, which still performs well and is physically realizable.

The Kustaanheimo-Stiefel (KS) transformation maps the non-linear and singular equations of motion of the three-dimensional Kepler problem to the linear and regular equations of a four-dimensional harmonic oscillator. It is used extensively in studies of the perturbed Kepler problem in celestial mechanics and atomic physics. In contrast to the conventional matrix-based approach, the formulation of the KS transformation in the language of geometric Clifford algebra offers the advantages of a clearer geometrical interpretation and greater computational simplicity. It is demonstrated that the geometric algebra formalism can readily be used to derive a Lagrangian and Hamiltonian description of the KS dynamics in arbitrary static electromagnetic fields. For orbits starting at the Coulomb centre, initial conditions are derived and a framework is set up that allows a discussion of the stability of these orbits.

Relativistic kinematics is usually considered only as a manifestation of pseudo-Euclidean (Lorentzian) geometry of space-time. However, as it is explicitly stated in General Relativity, the geometry itself depends on dynamics, specifically, on the en ergy-momentum tensor. We discuss a few examples, which illustrate the dynamical aspect of the length-contraction effect within the framework of Special Relativity. We show some pitfalls associated with direct application of the length contraction formula in cases when an extended object is accelerated. Our analysis reveals intimate connections between length contraction and the dynamics of internal forces within the accelerated system. The developed approach is used to analyze the correlation between two congruent disks - one stationary and one rotating (the Ehrenfest paradox). Specifically, we consider the transition of a disk from the state of rest to a spinning state under the applied forces. It reveals the underlying physical mechanism in the corresponding transition from Euclidean geometry of stationary disk to Lobachevskys (hyperbolic) geometry of the spinning disk in the process of its rotational boost. A conclusion is made that the rest mass of a spinning disk or ring of a fixed radius must contain an additional term representing the potential energy of non-Euclidean circumferential deformation of its material. Possible experimentally observable manifestations of Lobachevskys geometry of rotating systems are discussed.

Based on rigorous scattering theory we establish a systematic methodology for research of metamaterial-modified current-carrying conductors, from which we mathematically demonstrate the explanation of transformation optics could be extended in metama terial-modified wireless power transfer system, and based on that we could establish a equivalent model. More important, our demonstration reveals that the equivalent model will still be applicable even when TO could not give a direct explanation, as the requirements of complementary media is not satisfied. And numerical results from our methodology as well as COMSOL verified our findings. The demonstration is not under specific frequency, the conclusion could be extended to a broad range of wavelength, and expected to be applicable for active cloak etc.
