We have performed a NLTE analysis of the infrared oxygen triplet for a large number of cepheid spectra obtained with the Hobby-Eberly telescope. These data were combined with our previous NLTE results for the stars observed with Max Planck Gesellschaft telescope with the aim to investigate oxygen abundance distribution in Galactic thin disc. We find the slope of the radial (O/H) gradient value to be equal -0.058 dex/kpc. Nevertheless, we found that there could be a hint that the distribution might become flatter in the outer parts of the disc. This is also supported by other authors who studied open clusters, planetary nebulae and H II regions. Some mechanisms of flattening are discussed.

Motivated by the controversy over the surface metallicity of the Sun, we present a re-analysis of the solar photospheric oxygen (O) abundance. New atomic models of O and Ni are used to perform Non-Local Thermodynamic Equilibrium (NLTE) calculations w ith 1D hydrostatic (MARCS) and 3D hydrodynamical (Stagger and Bifrost) models. The Bifrost 3D MHD simulations are used to quantify the influence of the chromosphere. We compare the 3D NLTE line profiles with new high-resolution, R = 700 000, spatially-resolved spectra of the Sun obtained using the IAG FTS instrument. We find that the O I lines at 777 nm yield the abundance of log A(O) = 8.74 +/- 0.03 dex, which depends on the choice of the H-impact collisional data and oscillator strengths. The forbidden [O I] line at 630 nm is less model-dependent, as it forms nearly in LTE and is only weakly sensitive to convection. However, the oscillator strength for this transition is more uncertain than for the 777 nm lines. Modelled in 3D NLTE with the Ni I blend, the 630 nm line yields an abundance of log A(O) = 8.77 +/- 0.05 dex. We compare our results with previous estimates in the literature and draw a conclusion on the most likely value of the solar photospheric O abundance, which we estimate at log A(O) = 8.75 +/- 0.03 dex.
We derived elemental abundances in 27 Cepheids, the great majority situated within a zone of Galactocentric distances ranging from 5 to 7 kpc. One star of our sample, SU Sct, has a Galactocentric distance of about 3 kpc, and thus falls in a poorly in vestigated region of the inner thin disc. Our new results, combined with data on abundances in the very central part of our Galaxy taken from literature, show that iron, magnesium, silicon, sulfur, calcium and titanium LTE abundance radial distributions, as well as NLTE distribution of oxygen reveal a plateau-like structure or even positive abundance gradient in the region extending from the Galactic center to about 5 kpc.
We have derived the abundances of 36 chemical elements in one Cepheid star, ASAS 181024--2049.6, located R$_{rm G}= 2.53$ kpc from the Galactic center. This star falls within a region of the inner thin disc poorly sampled in Cepheids. Our spectral an alysis shows that iron, magnesium, silicon, calcium and titanium LTE abundances in that star support the presence of a plateau-like abundance distribution in the thin disc within 5 kpc of the Galactic center, as previously suggested by cite{Maret15}. If confirmed, the flattening of the abundance gradient within that region could be the result of a decrease in the star formation rate due to dynamic effects, possibly from the central Galactic bar.
We examine the possible dependence of the radial oxygen abundance distribution on non-axisymmetrical structures (bar/spirals) and other macroscopic parameters such as the mass, the optical radius R25, the color g-r, and the surface brightness of the galaxy. A sample of disk galaxies from the CALIFA DR3 is considered. We adopted the Fourier amplitude A2 of the surface brightness as a quantitative characteristic of the strength of non-axisymmetric structures in a galactic disk, in addition to the commonly used morphologic division for A, AB, and B types based on the Hubble classification. To distinguish changes in local oxygen abundance caused by the non-axisymmetrical structures, the multiparametric mass--metallicity relation was constructed as a function of parameters such as the bar/spiral pattern strength, the disk size, color index g-r in the SDSS bands, and central surface brightness of the disk. The gas-phase oxygen abundance gradient is determined by using the R calibration. We find that there is no significant impact of the non-axisymmetric structures such as a bar and/or spiral patterns on the local oxygen abundance and radial oxygen abundance gradient of disk galaxies. Galaxies with higher mass, however, exhibit flatter oxygen abundance gradients in units of dex/kpc, but this effect is significantly less prominent for the oxygen abundance gradients in units of dex/R25 and almost disappears when the inner parts are avoided. We show that the oxygen abundance in the central part of the galaxy depends neither on the optical radius R25 nor on the color g-r or the surface brightness of the galaxy. Instead, outside the central part of the galaxy, the oxygen abundance increases with g-r value and central surface brightness of the disk.
Investigations of stellar encounters in cluster environments have demonstrated their potential influence on the mass and angular momentum of protoplanetary discs around young stars. In this study it is investigated in how far the initial surface dens ity in the disc surrounding a young star influences the outcome of an encounter. Based on a power-law ansatz for the surface density, $Sigma(r) propto r^{-p}$, a parameter study of star-disc encounters with different initial disc-mass distributions has been performed using N-body simulations. It is demonstrated that the shape of the disc-mass distribution has a significant impact on the quantity of the disc-mass and angular momentum losses in star-disc encounters. Most sensitive are the results where the outer parts of the disc are perturbed by high-mass stars. By contrast, disc-penetrating encounters lead more or less independently of the disc-mass distribution always to large losses. However, maximum losses are generally obtained for initially flat distributed disc material. Based on the parameter study a fit formula is derived, describing the relative mass and angular momentum loss dependent on the initial disc-mass distribution index p. Generally encounters lead to a steepening of the density profile of the disc. The resulting profiles can have a r^{-2}-dependence or even steeper independent of the initial distribution of the disc material. From observations the initial density distribution in discs remains unconstrained, so the here demonstrated strong dependence on the initial density distribution might require a revision of the effect of encounters in young stellar clusters. The steep surface density distributions induced by some encounters might be the prerequisite to form planetary systems similar to our own solar system.
