Distinctive orderings and phase diagram structures are found, from renormalization-group theory, for odd q-state clock spin-glass models in d=3 dimensions. These models exhibit asymmetric phase diagrams, as is also the case for quantum Heisenberg spin-glass models. No finite-temperature spin-glass phase occurs. For all odd $qgeqslant 5$, algebraically ordered antiferromagnetic phases occur. One such phase is dominant and occurs for all $qgeqslant 5$. Other such phases occupy small low-temperature portions of the phase diagrams and occur for $5 leqslant q leqslant 15$. All algebraically ordered phases have the same structure, determined by an attractive finite-temperature sink fixed point where a dominant and a subdominant pair states have the only non-zero Boltzmann weights. The phase transition critical exponents quickly saturate to the high q value.

We demonstrate that a machine learning technique with a simple feedforward neural network can sensitively detect two successive phase transitions associated with the Berezinskii-Kosterlitz-Thouless (BKT) phase in q-state clock models simultaneously b y analyzing the weight matrix components connecting the hidden and output layers. We find that the method requires only a data set of the raw spatial spin configurations for the learning procedure. This data set is generated by Monte-Carlo thermalizations at selected temperatures. Neither prior knowledge of, for example, the transition temperatures, number of phases, and order parameters nor processed data sets of, for example, the vortex configurations, histograms of spin orientations, and correlation functions produced from the original spin-configuration data are needed, in contrast with most of previously proposed machine learning methods based on supervised learning. Our neural network evaluates the transition temperatures as T_2/J=0.921 and T_1/J=0.410 for the paramagnetic-to-BKT transition and BKT-to-ferromagnetic transition in the eight-state clock model on a square lattice. Both critical temperatures agree well with those evaluated in the previous numerical studies.
The left-right chiral and ferromagnetic-antiferromagnetic double spin-glass clock model, with the crucially even number of states q=4 and in three dimensions d=3, has been studied by renormalization-group theory. We find, for the first time to our kn owledge, four different spin-glass phases, including conventional, chiral, and quadrupolar spin-glass phases, and phase transitions between spin-glass phases. The chaoses, in the different spin-glass phases and in the phase transitions of the spin-glass phases with the other spin-glass phases, with the non-spin-glass ordered phases, and with the disordered phase, are determined and quantified by Lyapunov exponents. It is seen that the chiral spin-glass phase is the most chaotic spin-glass phase. The calculated phase diagram is also otherwise very rich, including regular and temperature-inverted devils staircases and reentrances.
The chiral spin-glass Potts system with q=3 states is studied in d=2 and 3 spatial dimensions by renormalization-group theory and the global phase diagrams are calculated in temperature, chirality concentration p, and chirality-breaking concentration c, with determination of phase chaos and phase-boundary chaos. In d=3, the system has ferromagnetic, left-chiral, right-chiral, chiral spin-glass, and disordered phases. The phase boundaries to the ferromagnetic, left- and right-chiral phases show, differently, an unusual, fibrous patchwork (microreentrances) of all four (ferromagnetic, left-chiral, right-chiral, chiral spin-glass) ordered ordered phases, especially in the multicritical region. The chaotic behavior of the interactions, under scale change, are determined in the chiral spin-glass phase and on the boundary between the chiral spin-glass and disordered phases, showing Lyapunov exponents in magnitudes reversed from the usual ferromagnetic-antiferromagnetic spin-glass systems. At low temperatures, the boundaries of the left- and right-chiral phases become thresholded in p and c. In the d=2, the chiral spin-glass system does not have a spin-glass phase, consistently with the lower-critical dimension of ferromagnetic-antiferromagnetic spin glasses. The left- and right-chirally ordered phases show reentrance in chirality concentration p.
We investigate the generalized p-spin models that contain arbitrary diagonal operators U with no reflection symmetry. We derive general equations that give an opportunity to uncover the behavior of the system near the glass transition at different (c ontinuous) p. The quadrupole glass with J=1 is considered as an illustrating example. It is shown that the crossover from continuous to discontinuous glass transition to one-step replica breaking solution takes place at p=3.3 for this model. For p <2+Delta p, where Delta p= 0.5 is a finite value, stable 1RSB-solution disappears. This behaviour is strongly different from that of the p-spin Ising glass model.

We construct and analyze a family of $M$-component vectorial spin systems which exhibit glass transitions and jamming within supercooled paramagnetic states without quenched disorder. Our system is defined on lattices with connectivity $c=alpha M$ an d becomes exactly solvable in the limit of large number of components $M to infty$. We consider generic $p$-body interactions between the vectorial Ising/continuous spins with linear/non-linear potentials. The existence of self-generated randomness is demonstrated by showing that the random energy model is recovered from a $M$-component ferromagnetic $p$-spin Ising model in $M to infty$ and $p to infty$ limit. In our systems the quenched disorder, if present, and the self-generated disorder act additively. Our theory provides a unified mean-field theoretical framework for glass transitions of rotational degree of freedoms such as orientation of molecules in glass forming liquids, color angles in continuous coloring of graphs and vector spins of geometrically frustrated magnets. The rotational glass transitions accompany various types of replica symmetry breaking. In the case of repulsive hardcore interactions in the spin space, continuous the criticality of the jamming or SAT/UNSTAT transition becomes the same as that of hardspheres.
