We consider stochastic models of chemical reaction networks with time dependent input rates and several types of molecules. We prove that, in despite of strong time dependence of input rates, there is a kind of homeostasis phenomenon: far away from input nodes the mean numbers of molecules of each type become approximately constant (do not depend on time).

The macroscopic behavior of dissipative stochastic partial differential equations usually can be described by a finite dimensional system. This article proves that a macroscopic reduced model may be constructed for stochastic reaction-diffusion equat ions with cubic nonlinearity by artificial separating the system into two distinct slow-fast time parts. An averaging method and a deviation estimate show that the macroscopic reduced model should be a stochastic ordinary equation which includes the random effect transmitted from the microscopic timescale due to the nonlinear interaction. Numerical simulations of an example stochastic heat equation confirms the predictions of this stochastic modelling theory. This theory empowers us to better model the long time dynamics of complex stochastic systems.
We consider the chemical reaction networks and study currents in these systems. Reviewing recent decomposition of rate functionals from large deviation theory for Markov processes, we adapt these results for reaction networks. In particular, we state a suitable generalisation of orthogonality of forces in these systems, and derive an inequality that bounds the free energy loss and Fisher information by the rate functional.

Chemical reactions occur in energy, environmental, biological, and many other natural systems, and the inference of the reaction networks is essential to understand and design the chemical processes in engineering and life sciences. Yet, revealing th e reaction pathways for complex systems and processes is still challenging due to the lack of knowledge of the involved species and reactions. Here, we present a neural network approach that autonomously discovers reaction pathways from the time-resolved species concentration data. The proposed Chemical Reaction Neural Network (CRNN), by design, satisfies the fundamental physics laws, including the Law of Mass Action and the Arrhenius Law. Consequently, the CRNN is physically interpretable such that the reaction pathways can be interpreted, and the kinetic parameters can be quantified simultaneously from the weights of the neural network. The inference of the chemical pathways is accomplished by training the CRNN with species concentration data via stochastic gradient descent. We demonstrate the successful implementations and the robustness of the approach in elucidating the chemical reaction pathways of several chemical engineering and biochemical systems. The autonomous inference by the CRNN approach precludes the need for expert knowledge in proposing candidate networks and addresses the curse of dimensionality in complex systems. The physical interpretability also makes the CRNN capable of not only fitting the data for a given system but also developing knowledge of unknown pathways that could be generalized to similar chemical systems.

We introduce a simple yet powerful calculational tool useful in calculating averages of ratios and products of characteristic polynomials. The method is based on Dyson Brownian motion and Grassmann integration formula for determinants. It is intended as an alternative to other RMT techniques applicable to general gaussian measures. Resulting formulas are exact for finite matrix size N and form integral representations convenient for large N asymptotics. Quantities obtained by the method can be interpreted as averages over matrix models with an external source. We provide several explicit and novel calculations showing a range of applications.
We prove that random walks in random environments, that are exponentially mixing in space and time, are almost surely diffusive, in the sense that their scaling limit is given by the Wiener measure.
