Unstable operations in a generalized cohomology theory E give rise to a functor from the category of algebras over E to itself which is a colimit of representable functors and a comonoid with respect to composition of such functors. In this paper I set up a framework to study the algebra of such functors, which I call formal plethories, in the case where $E_*$ is a Prufer ring. I show that the logarithmic functors of primitives and indecomposables give linear approximations of formal plethories by bimonoids in the 2-monoidal category of bimodules over a ring.

We show that a well behaved Noetherian, finite dimensional, stable, monoidal model category is equivalent to a model built from categories of modules over completed rings in an adelic fashion. For abelian groups this is based on the Hasse square, f or chromatic homotopy theory this is based on the chromatic fracture square, and for rational torus-equivariant homotopy theory this is the model of Greenlees-Shipley arXiv:1101.2511.
We develop some aspects of the homological algebra of persistence modules, in both the one-parameter and multi-parameter settings, considered as either sheaves or graded modules. The two theories are different. We consider the graded module and sheaf tensor product and Hom bifunctors as well as their derived functors, Tor and Ext, and give explicit computations for interval modules. We give a classification of injective, projective, and flat interval modules. We state Kunneth theorems and universal coefficient theorems for the homology and cohomology of chain complexes of persistence modules in both the sheaf and graded modules settings and show how these theorems can be applied to persistence modules arising from filtered cell complexes. We also give a Gabriel-Popescu theorem for persistence modules. Finally, we examine categories enriched over persistence modules. We show that the graded module point of view produces a closed symmetric monoidal category that is enriched over itself.
Given a suitable stable monoidal model category $mathscr{C}$ and a specialization closed subset $V$ of its Balmer spectrum one can produce a Tate square for decomposing objects into the part supported over $V$ and the part supported over $V^c$ splice d with the Tate object. Using this one can show that $mathscr{C}$ is Quillen equivalent to a model built from the data of local torsion objects, and the splicing data lies in a rather rich category. As an application, we promote the torsion model for the homotopy category of rational circle-equivariant spectra from [18] to a Quillen equivalence. In addition, a close analysis of the one step case highlights important features needed for general torsion models which we will return to in future work.
In this paper we study tensor products of affine abelian group schemes over a perfect field $k.$ We first prove that the tensor product $G_1 otimes G_2$ of two affine abelian group schemes $G_1,G_2$ over a perfect field $k$ exists. We then describe t he multiplicative and unipotent part of the group scheme $G_1 otimes G_2$. The multiplicative part is described in terms of Galois modules over the absolute Galois group of $k.$ We describe the unipotent part of $G_1 otimes G_2$ explicitly, using Dieudonne theory in positive characteristic. We relate these constructions to previously studied tensor products of formal group schemes.

The central aim of this monograph is to provide decomposition results for quasi-coherent sheaves on the moduli stack of one-dimensional formal groups. These results will be based on the geometry of the stack itself, particularly the height filtration and an analysis of the formal neighborhoods of the geometric points. The main theorems are algebraic chromatic convergence results and fracture square decompositions. There is a major technical hurdle in this story, as the moduli stack of formal groups does not have the finitness properties required of an algebraic stack as usually defined. This is not a conceptual problem, but in order to be clear on this point and to write down a self-contained narrative, I have included a great deal of discussion of the geometry of the stack itself, giving various equivalent descriptions.
