Chaotic spin-wave solitons in magnetic film active feedback rings were observed for the first time. At some ring gain level, one observes the self-generation of a single spin-wave soliton pulse in the ring. When the pulse circulates in the ring, its amplitude varies chaotically with time. Numerical simulations based on a gain-loss nonlinear Schrodinger equation reproduce the observed responses.
The manifestation of fractals in soliton dynamics has been observed for the first time. The experiment utilized self-generated spin wave envelope solitons in a magnetic film based active feedback ring. At high ring gain, the soliton that circulates i
Formation of bright envelope solitons from wave packets with a repulsive nonlinearity was observed for the first time. The experiments used surface spin-wave packets in magnetic yttrium iron garnet (YIG) thin film strips. When the wave packets are na
We not only reproduce burst of short-wavelength spin waves (SWs) observed in recent experiment [S. Woo et al., Nat. Phys. 13, 448 (2017)] on magnetic-field-driven annihilation of two magnetic domain walls (DWs) but, furthermore, we predict that this
We consider theoretically one-dimensional polariton ring accounting for both longitudinal-transverse (TE-TM) and Zeeman splitting of spinor polariton states and spin dependent polariton-polariton interactions. We present the novel class of solutions
The Talbot effect has been known in optics since XIX century and found various technological applications. In this paper, we demonstrate with the help of micromagnetic simulations this self-imaging phenomenon for spin waves propagating in a thin ferr
