The new combined formulas have been established for the complex and real rotation-angular functions arising in the evaluation of two-center overlap integrals over arbitrary atomic orbitals in molecular coordinate system. These formulas can be useful in the study of different quantum mechanical problems in both the theory and practice of calculations dealing with atoms, molecules, nuclei and solids when the integer and noninteger n complex and real atomic orbitals basis sets are emploed. This work presented the development of our previous paper (I.I. Guseinov, Phys. Rev. A, 32 (1985) 1864).

We derive distance-dependent estimators for two-center and three-center electron repulsion integrals over a short-range Coulomb potential, $textrm{erfc}(omega r_{12})/r_{12}$. These estimators are much tighter than one based on the Schwarz inequality and can be viewed as a complement to the distance-dependent estimators for four-center short-range Coulomb integrals and for two-center and three-center full Coulomb integrals previously reported. Because the short-range Coulomb potential is commonly used in solid-state calculations, including those with the HSE functional and with our recently introduced range-separated periodic Gaussian density fitting, we test our estimators on a diverse set of periodic systems using a wide range of the range-separation parameter $omega$. These tests demonstrate the robust tightness of our estimators, which are then used with integral screening to calculate periodic three-center short-range Coulomb integrals with linear scaling in system size.

The series expansion formulae are established for the one- and two-center charge densities over complete orthonormal sets of exponential type orbitals introduced by the author. Three-center overlap integrals of appearing in these relations are expres sed through the two-center overlap integrals between -orbitals. The general formulae obtained for the charge densities are utilized for the evaluation of arbitrary multicenter-multielectron integrals occurring when the complete orthonormal sets of exponential type orbitals are used as basis functions in the Hartree-Fock-Roothaan and explicitly correlated methods. The relationships for charge densities and multicenter-multielectron integrals obtained are valid for the arbitrary quantum numbers, screening constants and location of orbitals.
Three-center nuclear attraction integrals with Slater type orbitals (STOs) appearing in the Hartree-Fock-Roothaan (HFR) equations for molecules are evaluated using one-range addition theorems of STOs obtained from the use of complete orthonormal sets of -exponential type orbitals (-ETOs), where . These integrals are investigated for the determination of the best with respect to the convergence and accuracy of series expansion relations. It is shown that the best values are obtained for . The convergence of three-center nuclear attraction integrals with respect to the indices for is presented. The final results are expressed through the overlap integrals of STOs containing . The hermitian properties of three-center nuclear attraction integrals are also investigated. The algorithm described in this work is valid for the arbitrary values of, and quantum numbers, screening constants and location of orbitals. The convergence and accuracy of series are tested by calculating concrete cases. It should be noted that the theory of three-center nuclear attraction integrals presented in this work is the extension of method described in our previous paper for to the case of (I.I. Guseinov, N. Seckin Gorgun and N. Zaim, Chin. Phys. B 19 (2010) 043101-1-043101-5).

Using the complete orthonormal basis sets of nonrelativistic and quasirelativistic orbitals introduced by the author in previous papers for particles with arbitrary spin the new analytical relations for the -component relativistic tensor wave functio ns and tensor Slater orbitals in coordinate, momentum and four-dimensional spaces are derived, where. The relativistic tensor function sets are expressed through the corresponding nonrelativistic and quasirelativistic orbitals. The analytical formulas for overlap integrals over relativistic tensor Slater orbitals with the same screening constants in coordinate space are also derived.
In this review we first discuss extension of Bohrs 1913 molecular model and show that it corresponds to the large-D limit of a dimensional scaling (D-scaling) analysis, as developed by Herschbach and coworkers. In a separate but synergetic approach to the two-electron problem, we summarize recent advances in constructing analytical models for describing the two-electron bond. The emphasis here is not maximally attainable numerical accuracy, but beyond textbook accuracy as informed by physical insights. We demonstrate how the interplay of the cusp condition, the asymptotic condition, the electron-correlation, configuration interaction, and the exact one electron two-center orbitals, can produce energy results approaching chemical accuracy. Reviews of more traditional calculational approaches, such as Hartree-Fock, are also given. The inclusion of electron correlation via Hylleraas type functions is well known to be important, but difficult to implement for more than two electrons. The use of the D-scaled Bohr model offers the tantalizing possibility of obtaining electron correlation energy in a non-traditional way.
