Non-commutativity is ubiquitous in mathematical modeling of reality and in many cases same algebraic structures are implemented in different situations. Here we consider the canonical commutation relation of quantum theory and discuss a simple urn model of the latter. It is shown that enumeration of urn histories provides a faithful realization of the Heisenberg-Weyl algebra. Drawing on this analogy we demonstrate how the operator normal forms facilitate counting of histories via generating functions, which in turn yields an intuitive combinatorial picture of the ordering procedure itself.
We discuss a general combinatorial framework for operator ordering problems by applying it to the normal ordering of the powers and exponential of the boson number operator. The solution of the problem is given in terms of Bell and Stirling numbers e
We examine the non-inertial effects of a rotating frame on a Dirac oscillator in a cosmic string space-time with non-commutative geometry in phase space. We observe that the approximate bound-state solutions are related to the biconfluent Heun polyno
We study the normal form of multipartite density matrices. It is shown that the correlation matrix (CM) separability criterion can be improved from the normal form we obtained under filtering transformations. Based on CM criterion the entanglement wi
In this paper we study a systematic and natural construction of canonical coordinates for the reduced space of a cotangent bundle with a free Lie group action. The canonical coordinates enable us to compute Poincar{e}-Birkhoff normal forms of relativ
In this paper we address the problem of determining whether the eigenspaces of a class of weighted Laplacians on Cayley graphs are generically irreducible or not. This work is divided into two parts. In the first part, we express the weighted Laplaci
