I review some of the highlights of results from non-hadron collider flavor experiments shown at the EPS conference in the summer of 2009. These include highlights of the latest results from the BaBar and Belle B-factories, CLEO-c, BES-III, NA48, KTeV, KLOE, NA62, MEG, and mu to e conversion experiments.

Some recent $tau$-physics results are presented from the BaBar and Belle experiments at the SLAC and KEK B factories, which produce copious numbers of $tau$-lepton pairs. Measurements of the tau mass and lifetime allow to test lepton universality and CPT invariance, while searches for lepton-flavour violation in tau decays are powerful ways to look for physics beyond the Standard Model. In semihadronic, non-strange tau decays, the vector hadronic final state is particularly important in helping determine the hadronic corrections to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon, while studies of strange final states are the best available ways to measure the CKM matrix element $V_{rm us}$ and the mass of the strange quark.

An overview of the measurements of b->sgamma, b->dgamma and b->sll penguin transitions at the B Factories is presented.
We present a particle vertex fitting method designed for B factories. The presented method uses a Kalman Filter to solve a least squares estimate to globally fit decay chains, as opposed to traditional methods that fit each vertex at a time. It allow s for the extraction of particle momenta, energies, vertex positions and flight lengths, as well as the uncertainty estimates of these quantities. Furthermore, it allows for the precise extraction of vertex parameters in complex decay chains containing neutral final state particles, such as ${gamma}$ or $K^0_L$ , which cannot properly be tracked due to limited spatial resolution of longitudinally segmented single-layer crystal calorimeters like the Belle II ECL. The presented technique can be used to suppress combinatorial background and improve resolutions on measured parameters. We present studies using Monte Carlo simulations of collisions in the Belle II experiment, where modes with neutrals are crucial to the physics analysis program.

Recent results and future prospects for Y(5S) running at B-factories are discussed. The first Belle measurements with 23.6 fb-1 of data taken at the Y(5S) energy are reported. Eligibility of potential measurements expected with 100 fb-1 and 1000 fb-1 of data at the Y(5S) is estimated.
