We investigate the phase diagram in the plane of temperature and chemical potential mismatch for an asymmetric fermion superfluid with double- and single-species pairings. There is no mixing of these two types of pairings at fixed chemical potential, but the introduction of the single species pairing cures the magnetic instability at low temperature.

Here we describe the form of the Asymmetric Superfluid Local Density Approximation (ASLDA), a Density Functional Theory (DFT) used to model the two-component unitary Fermi gas. We give the rational behind the functional, and describe explicitly how w e determine the form of the DFT from the to the available numerical and experimental data.
We study the expansion of a rotating, superfluid Fermi gas. The presence and absence of vortices in the rotating gas is used to distinguish superfluid and normal parts of the expanding cloud. We find that the superfluid pairs survive during the expan sion until the density decreases below a critical value. Our observation of superfluid flow at this point extends the range where fermionic superfluidity has been studied to densities of 1.2 10^{11} cm^{-3}, about an order of magnitude lower than any previous study.
We consider fermionic states bound on domain walls in a Weyl superfluid $^3$He-A and on interfaces between $^3$He-A and a fully gapped topological superfluid $^3$He-B. We demonstrate that in both cases fermionic spectrum contains Fermi arcs which are continuous nodal lines of energy spectrum terminating at the projections of two Weyl points to the plane of surface states in momentum space. The number of Fermi arcs is determined by the index theorem which relates bulk values of topological invariant to the number of zero energy surface states. The index theorem is consistent with an exact spectrum of Bogolubov- de Gennes equation obtained numerically meanwhile the quasiclassical approximation fails to reproduce the correct number of zero modes. Thus we demonstrate that topology describes the properties of exact spectrum beyond quasiclassical approximation.
Recent experiments suggest a multi-component pairing function in Sr2RuO4, which appears to be inconsistent with the absence of an apparent cusp in the transition temperature (Tc) as a function of the uniaxial strain. We show, however, that the theore tical cusp in Tc for a multi-component pairing can be easily smeared out by the spatial inhomogeneity of strain, and the experimental data can be reproduced qualitatively by a percolation model. This shed new light on multi-component pairings. We then perform a thorough group-theoretical classification of the pairing functions, taking the spin-orbit coupling into account. We list all 13 types of two-component spin-singlet pairing functions, with 8 of them belonging to the Eg representation. In particular, we find two types of intra-orbital pairings in the Eg representation ($k_xk_z$, $k_yk_z$) are favorable in view of most existing experiments.
We consider a weakly interacting two-component Fermi gas of dipolar particles (magnetic atoms or polar molecules) in the two-dimensional geometry. The dipole-dipole interaction (together with the short-range interaction at Feshbach resonances) for di poles perpendicular to the plane of translational motion may provide a superfluid transition. The dipole-dipole scattering amplitude is momentum dependent, which violates the Anderson theorem claiming the independence of the transition temperature on the presence of weak disorder. We have shown that the disorder can strongly increase the critical temperature (up to 10 nK at realistic densities). This opens wide possibilities for the studies of the superfluid regime in weakly interacting Fermi gases, which was not observed so far.
