Among various phenomenological $Lambda$ models, a time-dependent model $dot Lambdasim H^3$ is selected here to investigate the $Lambda$-CDM cosmology. Using this model the expressions for the time-dependent equation of state parameter $omega$ and other physical parameters are derived. It is shown that in $H^3$ model accelerated expansion of the Universe takes place at negative energy density, but with a positive pressure. It has also been possible to obtain the change of sign of the deceleration parameter $q$ during cosmic evolution.
This paper treats nonrelativistic matter and a scalar field $phi$ with a monotonically decreasing potential minimally coupled to gravity in flat Friedmann-Lema^{i}tre-Robertson-Walker cosmology. The field equations are reformulated as a three-dimensi
We present an explicit detailed theoretical and observational investigation of an anisotropic massive Brans-Dicke (BD) gravity extension of the standard $Lambda$CDM model, wherein the extension is characterized by two additional degrees of freedom; t
We perform a deductive study of accelerating Universe and focus on the importance of variable time-dependent $Lambda$ in the Einsteins field equations under the phenomenological assumption, $Lambda =alpha H^2$ for the full physical range of $alpha$.
We study Kaluza-Klein cosmology in cuscuton gravity and find an exact solution describing an accelerating 4-dimensional universe with a stable extra dimension. A cuscuton which is a non-dynamical scalar field is responsible for the accelerating expan
We show that a cosmology driven by gravitationally induced particle production of all non-relativistic species existing in the present Universe mimics exactly the observed flat accelerating $Lambda$CDM cosmology with just one dynamical free parameter
